Harry and Joanna Baker
Harry is originally from Springfield, Missouri. Joanna is originally from Jonesboro, Arkansas. They met in 1962, and have been married for 48 years. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. They moved to the Branson area in 1998.
Harry graduated from the University of Missouri with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He spent two years in active duty in the Army and six years in the inactive reserves. Harry spent 40 years in the mechanical engineering profession, where he worked for GE/Emerson Electric/Marathon Electric. Joanna spent three years as a schoolteacher, teaching reading.
Their first Corvette was a 1960. They got back into Corvette’s in 1997, with a 1998 Corvette. They then purchased a 1990 ZR1, which they still own and they also have a 2007 ZS1, and a 2007 ZO6. They joined the Club in June 2009.
Joanna’s hobbies include genealogy/historian, green house and gardening work. Harry’s hobbies outside of the car hobby are fishing. Harry has several automobiles in his collection. (He won’t tell us for sure how many, he doesn’t want Joanna to know!) Right now he is showing 1951 Kaiser with a LS2 Corvette engine.
